Role of a Committee Chair
The role of the Committee Chairperson is to conduct business at the county level on behalf of their respective townships. They are leaders and role models for their membership. They hold monthly meetings with their membership to discuss county events and other relevant issues and bring those comments and ideas back to the County Committee for discussion.
* The proper role of government is to do for the people those things that have to be done, but cannot be done or cannot be done as well, by individuals. The most effective government is government closest to the people.
* Good government is based on the individual; and each person's ability, dignity freedom and responsibility must be honored and recognized.
*Free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative and incentive have given this nation and economic system second to none.
* Sound money management in government is one of our goals.
* Equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.
* We must retain those principles of the past worth retaining, yet always be receptive to new ideas with an outlook broad enough to accommodate thoughtful exchange and varying points of view.
* We value, and must preserve our feelings of national strength and pride and, at the same time, share with people everywhere a desire for peace and freedom and the extension of human rights throughout the world.
*The Republican Party is the best vehicle for transforming these ideas into positive and successful government.
